    It also reminds of a motto we follow here: "Anyone who is worth shooting once, is worth shooting twice."

    It's mostly to reference that you only want there to be one side of the story to tell...yours. ;)

    Lol. That's funny but a warning shot is cheaper than a lawyer. Unless you know for sure they're about to kill someone then let him have it.

    I'm not so sure about that. If, for example, you kill the person who walks onto your property instead of just firing a warning shot.... then it's your story versus a dead guy's story. There's no one to fight your "self-defense" claim and it's likely to just be tossed out.

    What if the person in question was injured and lost, just looking for help? When you are standing before God on Judgement day He will know the facts. Are you willing to face God's judgement for shooting someone who just happened to wander onto your property? There IS a God. Having a gun carries responsibility, as most people on this forum seem to know.

    Even if you give a warning shot then the person could still go after you depending on where you shoot them. The only thing I would have to make sure of is if they are not someone who is just begging for help.
